Common questions

How much does it cost to fit a kitchen?

Fitting a kitchen you've already bought typically costs £1,700 to £4,700 in labour, depending on the number of units. Supply and fit usually runs from around £4,250 for a small kitchen in a good-value range to £21,000 or more for a large kitchen with premium units and stone worktops. Our estimate tool gives you a guide price in a couple of minutes, and we confirm a fixed price after a free visit.

How long does a kitchen fit take?

Most kitchen fits take one to two weeks. Stone worktops add time, because they're templated once the base units are in and usually arrive one to two weeks later. Moving walls, plumbing or gas adds to the programme, and we'll set out the timings in your quote.

Do you fit kitchens bought from Howdens, Wren or IKEA?

Yes. We fit kitchens from any supplier, and we'll check the order against the room before it's delivered so nothing is missing on fitting day.

Will I be without a kitchen while the work is done?

For part of the job, yes. We agree a plan before we start and keep the time without water, power and a sink as short as we can.

Do I need building regulations approval for a new kitchen?

A straight replacement usually doesn't. Removing walls, adding new electrical circuits or moving gas appliances does involve notification or certificates, and our qualified trades handle that paperwork.

What happens if you find asbestos?

Many homes built before 2000 have asbestos somewhere, often in textured ceilings, old floor tiles or pipe boxing. Chris holds current UKATA non-licensed asbestos training, so we know how to spot suspect materials and stop work safely. We carry out low-risk non-licensed work where the regulations allow it, and arrange testing or a licensed contractor where they don't, before any work carries on.
