Common questions
How much does a bathroom refit cost?
As a guide, a standard family bathroom refit typically costs £5,100 to £7,650 including labour and materials. Small en-suites and cloakrooms start from around £2,550, and large bathrooms with premium fittings can be £10,200 to £15,300 or more. Our estimate tool gives you a guide price for your room, and we confirm a fixed price after a free visit.
How long does a bathroom refit take?
Most bathroom refits take one to two weeks. A cloakroom is quicker. Walk-in showers and wet rooms take longer because the waterproofing and floor screeds need time to cure before tiling.
Can I have a walk-in shower in a small bathroom?
Often, yes. A low-profile tray or a level wet-room floor with a single glass panel can make a small room feel bigger. We check the floor construction and drainage at the visit to confirm what's possible.
Who does the electrical work?
Bathroom electrics must meet building regulations. Lighting, extractor fans and shaver sockets are installed and certified by a qualified electrician as part of the job.
Do I need to buy the bathroom suite myself?
Either way works. You can choose and buy your own suite, or we can supply it at trade prices and make sure everything fits before it arrives.
What happens if you find asbestos?
Many homes built before 2000 have asbestos somewhere, often in textured ceilings, old floor tiles or pipe boxing. Chris holds current UKATA non-licensed asbestos training, so we know how to spot suspect materials and stop work safely. We carry out low-risk non-licensed work where the regulations allow it, and arrange testing or a licensed contractor where they don't, before any work carries on.
